Do you like pasta?

I love pasta and could eat it every day. I mean, there are so many different versions of pasta. Bolognese, Carbonara, Arrabbiata…and there are different types o pasta as well, spaghetti, penne, Fussili…It can’t be boring…so many combinations and possibilities. It is also perfect to use up scraps. If you don’t have much time or power to buy 100 ingredients, just make some pasta with what you have left at home.CarbonaraWe tried a different version of Carbonara some days ago. Here you always get this spaghetti with cream and feta and bacon. Tastes great but it is soo fat. So this time we took smoked ham, spring onions and rosemary and parmesan instead of feta cheese. It was so great that we did it again the day after. This sauce is just baaaaam. The most important thing is that the egg doesn’t set but it has to stay creamy. You don’t wanna have crumbled eggs and that wouldn’t be too tasty. To prevent this from happening just take the pan off the heat and put the egg on the pasta.

Ingredients

      • 2 eggs
      • 2 hands full of parmesan
      • 5 slices smoked ham
      • 10-12 rosemary leaves
      • 1 clove of garlic
      • 2 spring onions
      • about 250 g pasta
      • salt, pepper

Preparation

  1. Put some water in a pot, salt it and let it boil. Then add the pasta and in the meantime you can chop the garlic, rosemary, ham and spring onions.
  2. Put a pan on the stove and fry garlic, rosemary and ham at low heat with olive oil. Now put 2 eggs, the parmesan, salt and pepper in a bowl, stir it well and put it aside.
  3. As soon as the pasta is done, take about 100ml of the pasta water and add it to the to the pan with the spring onions. Pour the rest of the water from the pasta and put it in the pan to the spring onions.
  4. Last, take the pan off the heat. Now pour the egg about the pasta in the pan and stir it.
